R-Day: Delhi Police Issues Advisory for Monday’s Dress Rehearsal | Check Which Routes to Take, Avoid

Special arrangements and restrictions will be in place on Monday when the rehearsal starts from Vijay Chowk and passes through the duty path from 10:30 am. View advisory for Republic Day dress rehearsal here.

For the Republic Day Parade 2023, Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for Monday’s full dress rehearsal which will start at 10.30 am.

Special arrangements and restrictions will be in place when the rehearsal starts from Vijay Chowk and passes through Duty Path, C-Hexagon, circular statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg before ending at Red Fort.

Traffic is not allowed from Vijay Chowk to Vijay Chowk on Duty Path India Gate from 6 p.m. on Sunday until the end of the parade on Monday.

➡️ not Cross-traffic is allowed on the duty path on Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road from 11 pm till the parade ends on Sunday.

➡️ The C-Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed from 9.15 am on Monday till the parade crosses Tilak Marg.

➡️ Traffic will not be allowed in both directions on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Subhash Marg from 10.30 am.

➡️According to the advisory, cross-traffic will be allowed only on the basis of movement of the parade.

➡️The commuters have been advised to avoid the parade route from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

Metro Rail Services

➡️ Metro services will remain operational at all stations during the dress rehearsal ceremony.

According to the advisory, boarding and deboarding will not be allowed at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan stations from 5 am to 12 noon.

➡️ Though there is no restriction on movement from North Delhi to New Delhi Railway Station or Old Delhi Railway Station as of now, the advisory asked people to plan their journey well in advance to avoid possible delays.

buses

➡️Movement of city buses will be curtailed at Park Street/Udyan Marg, Aram Bagh Road (Paharganj), Kamla Market roundabout, Delhi Secretariat (IG Stadium), Pragati Maidan (Bhairon Road), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Mori Gate, ISBT Kashmere Gate, ISBT Sarai Kale Khan and Tis Hazari Court.

➡️Buses going from Ghaziabad to Shivaji Stadium will take NH-24, Ring Road and terminate at Bhairon Road.

➡️ People coming from NH-24 shall take right turn on Road No. 56 and terminate at ISBT Anand Vihar, the advisory said.

➡️ Buses coming from Ghaziabad will be diverted from Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi for Wazirabad Bridge.

➡️In the advisory, motorists have been requested to follow traffic rules and follow the instructions of the personnel posted at the intersections.
