Pyaar Ka Postmortem-5: The student of DU, who married a boy working in Rashtrapati Bhavan, died after three days.

In the fifth series of Pyaar Ka Postmortem, today the story is of Abhishek Seth and Bhavna Yadav of Delhi, the capital of the country. Due to choosing a companion of choice, the relatives strangled the daughter. Come on, let’s begin…

Abhishek Seth of Delhi used to work as an assistant programmer in Rashtrapati Bhavan. 21-year-old Bhavna Yadav studied at Venkateswara College, Delhi University. Both of them met in connection with some work. Abhishek and Bhavna started liking each other’s company. They started laughing together over small things. Sometimes by sitting in the metro and sometimes in the park, we started weaving dreams of the future. If one got angry, the other would have persuaded. The car of love was running at high speed.

Conspiracy hatched to take the daughter back
This is from November 2014. Bhavna’s family members had come to know about the love of both. He fixed the relationship of emotion in the village of Akbarpur in Alwar district. November 22, 2014 the date of engagement was fixed. Earlier, on November 12, Abhishek and Bhavna got married at Arya Samaj Mandir. Abhishek’s family agreed, but Bhavna’s relatives were angry with this. He did not approve of the relationship in the other fraternity at all. Bhavna’s parents understood that now it is impossible to separate the daughter-in-law by persuasion. So he conspired to take the daughter with him. Promised to bid farewell by getting married with pomp in front of the society.

Father said – we also have some desires regarding daughter’s marriage
Abhishek Sethi says, ‘We both got married in Arya Samaj Mandir. After marriage, I and Bhavna informed my family over phone. After a while, Bhavna’s family members came to my house. Bhavna’s father Jagmohan Yadav was a property consultant by profession. He talked to my family members along with his wife Savitri Devi. He said that we both want to get married with pomp. The doli of emotion will rise from my courtyard in front of the society. After all, we also have respect in the society. We also have some dreams regarding Bhavna’s marriage. So, I want to take my daughter with me.

Mama Lakhan threatens to kill Abhishek
After this, the fresh mother-in-law Bharti Sethi and Abhishek happily let Bhavna go to her house. On November 13, Bhavna spoke to her husband Abhishek. A day later, Bhavna’s maternal uncle Lakhan Singh Yadav threatened Abhishek over the phone. Lakhan said, ‘Forget it, this marriage will never happen. We will do Bhavna’s marriage in our society. I will kill myself if I try to meet my daughter.

Bhavna’s call came shortly after Lakhan Singh threatened her. She said to Abhishek trembling, ‘Something is not feeling right here. I am reaching Dwarka turn. Come pick me up. Abhishek reached Dwarka turn and brought Bhavna to his house. In the evening, Bhavna’s parents, maternal uncle reached Abhishek’s house with two more people, where again Bhavna’s father played the emotional card. Jagmohan said – Now if Bhavna does not want to be with us then it is okay. The timing of 16th November is correct. You guys come to my place and will take away Bhavna by offering chunni. After this, Bhavna returned home late at night with her parents.

‘Jagmohan is taking the village and burning the dead body…’ and the phone got disconnected.
Then Abhishek’s wife Bhavna did not talk. He kept on trying to call, but the phone did not pick up from there. He was worried about the feeling, but thought – tomorrow he has to go to his house. On November 16, at 9 am, a call came from Bhavna’s cousin Sachin. Sachin told- ‘Jagmohan is taking the corpse to the village and burning it…’ and the phone got disconnected. Abhishek reached Bhavna’s house in Bharat Nagar, Dwarka North without delay, where the lock hanging on the door took her life. Ran to the police station and lodged a complaint. Initially, the police did not show seriousness, but in the evening started the investigation by registering an FIR. A team was sent to Jagmohan’s village.

The police team questioned the people of the village. It was learned from this that Jagmohan brought the daughter’s body to the village at 6:30 in the morning of 16 November. A nearby sweeper took it to Baba, where he confirmed death by seeing a pulse of emotion. At 10 o’clock the last rites were performed by making a pyre of cow dung without any customs. Neither called any priest nor waited for the arrival of any relative. The villagers got suspicious when Jagmohan and his wife started returning to Delhi. They stopped Jagmohan – ‘The young daughter is dead. Work is not done in mourning. But Jagmohan did not stop and returned to Delhi with wife Savitri.

Suman Goel, deputy commissioner of Delhi Police, who headed the investigation team of Bhawna murder case, says, “Bhavna’s parents were pressuring her to get engaged to another boy. Bhavna had an argument with her parents on this matter late on 15 November. Bhavna had said, I am legally married. If you guys force me, I will go to court. Hearing this, Jagmohan and his wife lost their temper. First beat up the daughter. Then Jagmohan grabbed Bhavna’s feet and Savitri strangled her to death.

Bhavna Yadav. The villagers of Bhawna got suspicious when without waiting for any relative, acquaintance, Jagmohan performed the last rites of the daughter and returned to Delhi in the evening itself.

False story told to relative after murder
On November 16, at 3:30 in the morning, Jagmohan called one of his acquaintances and told – Bhavna has been bitten by a snake, she has to be taken to Alwar, the sweeper Baba. Wrapped the body in a blanket, he reached his village 150 km away. Where he first took him to Baba, who did the exorcism. So that the story is real. After that, without informing anyone, Bhavna was burnt on the barren ground near the house. The influence of Bhavna’s father in Delhi was such that the neighbors did not open their mouths. The police arrested Bhavna’s parents. Both confessed their crime. The matter is in court.

Husband and mother-in-law waged a war of justice
Bhavna’s husband Abhishek and mother-in-law Bharti wage a war to get justice for their daughter-in-law. Abhishek’s family received several threatening phone calls from Gurugram and Alwar. The callers threatened – withdraw the case or get ready to face the consequences. Bharti Seth says- ‘I am fighting for my daughter-in-law. My son will not withdraw the case under any circumstances.

What an honor that killed my feeling
Abhishek demanded the death penalty for the killers. Abhishek appealed to the court- ‘I know he has no regrets killing Bhavna. His community will look at him with great respect. They will say that look, respect has been saved, but someone tell me – what kind of honor is this, for which they killed my wife. They should be hanged.

Abhishek told in an interview, ‘Bhavna’s parents wanted to get married only after school, but she had small dreams. She wanted to wear jeans and shorts. I wanted to study further. He insisted that he got admission in DU. She was very happy when we went shopping for the wedding. As soon as she wore the wedding dress, she started dancing happily. After marriage she wanted to taste wine with me. Wanted to go to some beach on honeymoon. When the phone was not ringing, then there was worry, but I had a feeling that she would definitely come back. She was not one to give up so quickly.
