Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said he is informed about every moment as the AAP-led government is keeping a close watch in the state.

Facing attack from the united opposition over the alleged law and order issue in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday hit back, alleging that he was trying to score political points by fanning communal passions.

The Chief Minister said that he was informed about every moment as the state government was keeping a close watch. He said that the opposition parties have started throwing cheap tantrums because there was no issue against the AAP-led government.

“The opposition is playing with fire by fanning communal sentiments in the state to score political points,” Mann said.

He further said that Punjab is the land of Gurus, Saints, Sages and Prophets who have shown the path of communal harmony, peace and brotherhood.

“Punjabis have always followed the ethos of peace and brotherhood in the society for the progress and prosperity of the state,” he said.

Mann also said that his government was committed to maintaining the hard-earned peace in the state. He assured three crore Punjabis that no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace, progress and prosperity of the state.

On Thursday, Mann met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him about the law and order situation including the Ajnala police station incident.
