After Haryana, Punjab has also sought land for the assembly in Chandigarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah today gave his consent to allot land in Chandigarh to the Haryana government. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that I have an appeal to the central government that on the lines of Haryana, land should be allotted in Chandigarh for Punjab to form its own assembly.

Mann said that there has been a long-standing demand that the Punjab-Haryana High Court should be separated. For this also the Central Government should provide land in Chandigarh.

Haryana gets consent, will get land towards IT Park
The Haryana government got the consent today for the construction of the Vidhan Sabha building. The 30th meeting of the Northern Zonal Council is going on in Rajasthan. In which Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar raised this issue. After which consent was obtained from the Union Home Minister. It is believed that the Haryana government can get land near the IT Park. CM Khattar has already surveyed the land here.

Opponents have surrounded Mann on the High Court
Earlier, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had written a letter to the Union Home Minister. In which, citing the conference of judges in April, said that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has asked for a separate High Court in New Chandigarh. New Chandigarh comes under Punjab. On knowing this, the opponents surrounded Mann and asked for an explanation. Although today Mann asked for land in Chandigarh, then the opponents also got the answer.
