We were only thinking of taking the audience to the extent of the villain’s brutality.” He said that they were only reinforcing the age-old adage about karma and the next generations to suffer the consequences of one’s actions, and did not realize its implications. The filmmaker explained.

He further clarified, “We did not mean to imply that children with disabilities suffer for the actions of their parents. I have seen some articles of parents saying that these dialogues in Kaduva hurt them. . Although my apology may not make up for the hurt, I am still apologizing.”

The apology was issued in connection with a complaint filed against Kaduva manufacturers with the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities. The complainant family is an association of parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
