Mysuru: Amid a raging controversy over dress code in colleges, the Chamarajanagar district administration has started preparing to conduct II PU exams, which will commence from April 16.
Last year, the exam was canceled due to the pandemic. Based on the marks scored in the SSLC exam of the previous year, I PU students were promoted to the next class.
The border district has ranked 12th, by securing 69.3% results in 2020-21.
Instructions have been given to all college heads, to conduct the laboratory exams from February 17, and complete it within a month. With the pandemic throwing the academic calendar out of gear, the government had reduced the syllabus by 30% for language subjects like Kannada, English and Hindi. However, for optional subjects, the examinations will be conducted without the syllabus being reduced.
The state PU board has also announced model question papers in its official website, after making small changes, when compared to the previous years question papers. Students will have the opportunity of writing exams with multiple-choice questions.
