Preneet Kaur Faces Backlash In Patiala, Farmer Dies Amid Protest

Farmers in Sehra village of Patiala are actively protesting against Preneet Kaur, who is contesting on the BJP ticket. They are continuously chanting loud slogans against the central government.

Simultaneously, reports have emerged of a farmer’s death and injuries to two other farmers during a scuffle. The deceased farmer is identified as Surinderpal Singh.

Surinderpal met his demise after collapsing on the ground.

Currently, Surinderpal’s body is being transported to the government hospital in Rajpura. The situation remains tense as protests intensify among the farmers.

Preneet Kaur Was Previously In Congress 

On Thursday, Preneet Kaur, the wife of former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, officially joined the BJP. The Congress had suspended Preneet, who is the MP from Patiala, in February last year due to allegations of anti-party activities and support for the BJP. Kaur’s induction into the BJP took place in the presence of the party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde, leader Tarun Chugh, and Sunil Jhakhar.
