Sunil Gavaskar criticizes Wriddhiman Saha for ‘silly’ shot selection against Delhi Capitals as Gujarat Titans lose the match by 5 runs

Sunil Gavaskar was none too pleased with Wriddhiman Saha after the veteran batsman gifted his wicket to Delhi Capitals as David Warner & Co. beat Gujarat Titans in the final. Saha failed to deal with Khaleel’s swinging deliveries, swinging his bat for a few deliveries before being beaten and finally giving a thick edge to wicketkeeper Phil Salt.

Commenting on the dismissal in the air, Gavaskar heaped huge pressure on Saha after his ‘silly’ shot selection.

“Too late my friend. All your experience doesn’t matter when you play a shot like this. You can go and practice that shot in the dug out,” Gavaskar said.

He said, “The words you pronounced ‘foolish’ can be said differently with a double oo in it for shots played.”

After both openers Saha and Shubman Gill failed against Delhi, skipper Hardik Pandya came in to bat at No.3 and scored a half-century but failed to take his side over the line.
