MumbaiBollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has approached the Bombay High Court seeking injunction against “false and defamatory” material being published on social media and websites in connection with the arrest of her husband Raj Kundra in an alleged adult film racket case.

Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 19 for his alleged involvement in the manufacture and dissemination of obscene material. A magistrate’s court has refused bail to the businessman and Ryan Thorpe in a case related to the production of adult films. The Bombay High Court will hear the proceedings of the public prosecutor on the bail plea of Raj Kundra on Saturday (July 31).
Last week, a team of Crime Branch Cell recorded Shilpa’s statement as part of its investigation in the case. Police officials questioned the actress for over six hours at her residence in Mumbai. Shetty reportedly wept several times during interrogation in the case.
According to another IANS report, Shilpa told the police officials that she was unaware of the exact content of the hotshots. He also said that ‘erotica is different from porn’, for which Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police.
