Poland Allowing Indian Students To Enter Without Visa: Ambassador Of Poland To India

New Delhi: Amid the worsening situation in Ukraine, Indian students are being evacuated from the war-torn region through the borders of surrounding countries. Ambassador of Poland to India, Adam Burakowski, on Sunday tweeted, “Poland is allowing Indian students who escape from Russian aggression without any visa in Ukraine.”

Meanwhile, the Embassy of India in Kyiv in an advisory said that the Indian citizens are being evacuated from Ukraine through Romania and Hungary. And they claim that they have been exploring with neighboring countries to open up borders for the Indian national stranded in Ukraine.

In the advisory, the Embassy of India is closely monitoring the developing situation, especially in the eastern region of Ukraine. “In constant touch with the authorities requesting the safety of our citizens,” Embassy said in the advisory.

Meanwhile, Ministry of External Affairs S Jaishankar dailed Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and Moldova Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu seeking support for facilitating the entry of Indian nationals on the borders. “Thankful for the evacuation support provided so far. Requested further cooperation on the Hungary-Ukraine border” tweets MEA Dr S Jaishankar.
