Lucknow: After two months eminent poet Munawar Rana Allegedly said that he would leave if Yogi Adityanath came in power— on Wednesday he cleared the air and stated, that “meri narazgi Yogi se nahi par Owaisi se hain”.
speaking in Navbharat Navnirman Manch – Organized by Times Now Navbharat Uttar Pradesh, the 68-year-old Rae Bareli poet, who mostly travels in a wheel-chair due to his age-related illness, said, “I was misunderstood. What I meant was that, if Yogi again Power because of the leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi, then I will leave UP. That’s why I am angry not with Yogi but with Owaisi. Uttar Pradesh, famous for Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, does not need Owaisi. He does politics only to please Muslims and widen the gap in social fabric in UP. If Owaisi is successful in forming the government by winning 100 seats in UP, then I would like to leave the state.”
However, Bhojpuri actor and MP from North-East Delhi Manoj Tiwari said, “We will not leave Rana Saheb in UP but Yogi ji will return.”
“When Rana ji himself has clarified his stand, there is no point in discussing it as thousands of Hindus love him, including fans like me,” Tiwari said. Meanwhile, Rana recited a poem and syad, “If I die, my mortal remains will not go to Karachi.”
The poet continued, “I am more Hindustani than any staunch Hindutva follower. In the early 90s, I once told a Pakistani citizen after a ghazal program that I live under the protection of 800 million Hindus and When there was communal tension in 1992.
