PM Narendra Modi Took 21 Foreign Trips Since 2019, Over Rs 22.76 cr Spent: Govt

New DelhiPrime Minister Narendra Modi has made 21 foreign trips since 2019 and over Rs 22.76 crore has been spent on these trips, the government said on Thursday. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha that the President made eight foreign trips and an amount of over Rs 6.24 crore was spent on these trips since 2019.

Expenses for visits of President, Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister

The government has spent Rs 6,24,31,424 for the President’s tour, Rs 22,76,76,934 for the Prime Minister’s tour and Rs 20,87,01,475 for the Foreign Minister’s tour since 2019. Minister.

While the President made eight foreign trips, the PM made 21 trips since 2019. During this period, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made 86 foreign trips.

Since 2019, the Prime Minister has visited Japan thrice and the US and UAE twice.

Of the presidential visits, seven of the eight visits were made by Ram Nath Kovind, while the current President Draupadi Murmu visited the UK last September.
