Varanasi: Prime Minister is again visiting his parliamentary constituency after a gap of 10 days. Narendra Modi He will dedicate 13 finished projects worth Rs 853 crore and lay foundation stones of other projects worth Rs 681 crore at a public meeting in Karkhiao area on Varanasi-Jaunpur border on December 23.
Amidst preparations to inaugurate completed projects and lay foundation stones of new projects by the Prime Minister, the Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal Told TOI, “The number of projects dedicated to the nation by the PM is 13, while he will lay the foundation stone for two road widening projects. The total value of the completed projects is Rs 853 crore while the road widening work will be done with an investment of Rs 681.8 crore.
Finished projects include redevelopment of wards of old Kashi, including Kalabhairav, Raj Mandir, Dashashwamedh, Jangambari and Garhwasi Tola Phase-I (Rs 66 crore), Installation of advanced surveillance cameras at 720 sites in the city (Rs 128 crore), Redevelopment of Beniabagh park and construction of surface parking (Rs 90.4 crore), Urban revitalization of road and Junction improvement project (Rs 25 crore) Rs).
Other projects on this list include hostels for doctors, nurses and a dharamsala at Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Center BHU (Rs 130 crore), construction of Inter University Center for Teacher Education (IUCTE) at BHU (Rs 107.4 crore) . ), 160 residential flats in Jodhpur Colony of BHU (Rs 121 cr), community hall and toilet block at the birthplace of Sant Ravidas at Seer Govardhanpur (Rs 5 cr), seed breeding facility under International Rice Research Institute – South Asia Regional Center Complex (Rs 3.5 crore), new building of Teacher Education Center at Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies at Sarnath (Rs 7 crore) and 13 residential houses in Government ITI in Karaodi area (Rs 2.7 crore).
The commissioner said that the PM would also lay the foundation stone for its widening and strengthening works. Mohan Sarai (Varanasi)-Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar Chakia Road, Chandauli (Rs 412.5-crore) and Varanasi-Bhadohi-Gopiganj Road (Rs 269.1-crore).
