PM Bennett meets Gaza border communities, promises ‘peace and peace’

Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with local authority heads of Gaza border communities on Thursday and discussed security issues along the Gaza border.

Among those present at the meeting was Sederot Mayor Elon Davidi, who was on Bennett’s Yamina list for the Knesset in the previous Israeli elections.

“We will continue to defeat terrorism on the one hand and improve living conditions in Gaza on the other,” Bennett said. “I’m in favor of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, we need to create a situation where they know they have something to lose,” Bennett said.

“We are working to bring peace and tranquility to the Gaza border communities and all southern Israelis in the long run.”
