A social activist has filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the district court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur against former Indian cricket captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, cricketers Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, actor Aamir Khan and others for promoting gambling. Did.

Tamanna Hashmi, in a petition filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, claimed that these players and actors are playing with their present and future by involving them in gambling through various online games related to IPL.

“They are misleading the youth of the country and forcing them to indulge in gambling. They are luring them with attractive prizes, but it can also make the youth addicted to gambling.”

“Cricket and film icons have been promoting various gaming shows and encouraging people to make an Indian Premier League (IPL) team. Some of them have won prizes but it also results in people becoming addicted to gambling,” he said.
