Petrol price in Delhi remained unchanged at Rs 96.72 per liter on April 29, while diesel rate stood at Rs 89.62 per litre.

Petrol, diesel prices today: Fuel prices in India remained largely unchanged on Saturday, April 29, as notified by oil marketing companies (OMCs). Fuel rates are unchanged from May 2022, when the central government and several states cut fuel taxes. Gurugram, Noida and Lucknow saw a marginal increase in prices, while Chennai saw a marginal decline on April 29 as compared to April 28.

Petrol price in Delhi remained the same as on April 29 at Rs 96.72 per litre, while diesel rate was Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol continues to retail above Rs 100 at Rs 106.31 per liter on April 29, while diesel was being sold at Rs 94.72 per litre.

Among other cities, petrol in Noida costs Rs 96.79 per liter while diesel costs Rs 89.96. Petrol price in Gurugram is Rs 97.18 per liter and diesel rate is Rs 90.05 per liter. Petrol can be bought at Rs.96.88 per liter and diesel at Rs.90.07 per liter in Lucknow.

Petrol and diesel rates for each day, whether new or unchanged, are announced at 6 am on that day. However, these vary from state to state due to Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, local taxes etc.

Oil prices rose more than 2 per cent on Friday after energy firms posted positive earnings and U.S. data showed that demand for crude fell while fuel demand was rising, Reuters reported.

On its final day as the front-month, Brent futures for June delivery rose $1.17, or 1.5 percent, to $79.54 a barrel, while the more actively traded July contract jumped 2.7 percent to $80.33. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose $2.02, or 2.7 percent, to settle at $76.78.
