Petrol, diesel prices have increased for the sixth consecutive day. Check Revised Rates

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked across the country for the sixth consecutive day on Monday. In the national capital, with a hike of 35 paise per litre, the price of petrol increased to Rs 109.69 per litre, while the price of diesel increased by the same amount to Rs 98.42.

Petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai increased to Rs 115.50 and Rs 106.62 per liter respectively.

Petrol in Kolkata costs Rs 110.35 per liter and diesel costs Rs 101.56 per liter while in Chennai the price of petrol and diesel is Rs 106.35 and Rs 102.59 per liter respectively.

Meanwhile, the central government is in talks with many oil exporting countries on the issue of supply and demand of oil, but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.

Earlier, a source had said that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas had recently raised concerns over the issue of prices, supply and demand for oils for major oil producing countries.

“With crude oil prices rising internationally, the petroleum ministry has called on the energy ministries of several countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and others,” the source said.
