He also alleged that the government body has failed to do so and alleged that the Dil Se Director has violated the provisions of the Antiquities and Art Treasures Act 1972 and the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958.

The petitioner has stated that he had made a representation to the Archaeological Survey Department of the State Government India (ASI) and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) will investigate the matter. However, there was no response, he approached the High Court seeking appropriate action.
