Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by two runs in their first match on Tuesday IPL 2021 UAE leg match in Dubai.

Youngster Karthik Tyagi held his nerves to secure a sensational last over victory for his team when Rajasthan needed four from the last six balls. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (49) was the top scorer for the Royals while Mahipal Lomror contributed 43.

With four runs to win in the last over and eden markramWith the pair of Nicholas Pooran at the crease, most fans would have thought that the match would not go till the final delivery. But Tyagi took two wickets and conceded just two runs in the best IPL performance of his career.

Known for his ability to see significant momentum, Tyagi was a part of India’s U19 World Cup 2020. He was also part of the Indian camp that toured Australia in a four-match Test series earlier this year. However, the youngster did not appear in any Tests and bowled in the nets throughout the tour.
