PATNA: An unemployed man killed his 65-year-old father with a sharp-edged weapon after he refused to pay Rs 100 to buy ganja and whitener.

According to the police, the victim Rajaram Chauhan was sleeping soundly in the house at the time of the incident. SHO of Phulwarisharif police station, Mohammad Rafiqur Rahman, said, “Dharamveer fled the spot after his father raised an alarm. A police team from Phulwarisharif reached the spot around 1 am and took the body into its custody.”
The SHO said that the weapon used in the murder has not been recovered yet. “Dharamveer is being interrogated. The girl’s mother has told the police that her son was a drug addict who always asked his father to give him money to buy ganja and whitewash. On Wednesday, when Dharamveer asked his father Asked for 100 rupees from him, then he refused and give it.
After a heated argument with his father, Dharamveer left the house and returned to commit the crime at around 11 pm when all the family members including his elder brother and sister-in-law were sleeping soundly.
