Pathaan: Do You Know Aamir Khan Sister Nikhat Plays Shah Rukh Khan Mom from Afghanistan in YRF Film?

Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen with the recently released film Pathan. The actor was seen alongside an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. While Salman Khan’s cameo won our hearts, there was another interesting guest appearance in the film which got all the netizens talking. In a scene where Shah Rukh was seen with his foster mother, fans noticed that it was interestingly Aamir Khan’s elder sister Nikhat Khan Hegde.

Nikhat Khan was seen as Pathan’s foster mother, an Afghani woman. In the film, as she calls Pathan her son, she also wraps a taveez locket around her hand in an emotional conversation. Nikhat recently shared a few video clips on her Instagram stories from viewers who watched her. One of the fans wrote, “So amazing ma’am (red heart emoji), @nikhat3628 my favorite in a frame.” While another Instagram user wrote, “Hamari Nikhat (Our Nikhat) @nikhat3628 #Pathaan.”

Talking about Nikhat, she made her TV debut last year with the Star Plus show Bunny Chow Home Delivery. She has been a part of films like Mission Mangal, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, and Saand Ki Aankh. Apart from acting, he has also worked as a producer for several hit films like Lagaan, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Tum Mere Ho.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathan is written by Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala. The action-thriller is a part of YRF’s Spy Universe of films and is associated with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) as well as the Hrithik Roshan-starrer War (2019).

Talking about the box office collections, the film has crossed the 100 crore mark at the ticket window globally within a day of its release. Pathan also created history by having the biggest opening collection at the ticket windows after the pandemic.
