The ICC World Cup winning captain was seen sharing some wisdom with Hardik Pandya and other members of the Indian team ahead of the first match of the T20I series against New Zealand in Ranchi.
Former Indian team captain MS Dhoni visited the team dressing room in Ranchi as the boys in blue trained in the legendary skipper’s hometown ahead of their T20 opener against New Zealand.
Indian opener Prithvi Shaw shared a post with the former skipper, writing, “Happy to have spent some time after training with Mahi bhai in Ranchi”.
The ICC World Cup-winning skipper was seen sharing some wisdom with Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder who was tasked to lead the team against the Kiwis in the T20I series starting on January 27.
Dhoni was also seen interacting with Indian opener Shubman Gill and spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal as well as other team players.

In the last ODI series against New Zealand, India registered an emphatic 3-0 clean sweep.
The Men in Blue won the ODI opener against the Kiwis, marked by a brilliant double ton by Gill that propelled the team to a massive 349. Michael Bracewell responded with a New Zealand innings of 140, but the Kiwis were eventually bowled out for 12. Runs short of target.
India wrapped up the series in the second game as they bowled out the Kiwis for 108 before successfully chasing down the target with almost 30 overs to spare.
The third game was yet another high-scoring encounter as India scored 385 runs riding on centuries from skipper Rohit Sharma and Gill. The home team won that day by a huge margin of 90 runs as they bundled out the entire New Zealand team for 295 runs.
India’s last T20 match was against Sri Lanka, which the Men in Blue won 2-1.
The opening T20I against the Lanka Lions was a tough encounter, with the home team winning by 2 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Sri Lanka leveled the series by winning the second game by 16 runs, before India clinched the series with a 91-run win over the visitors thanks to a blistering century from Suryakumar Yadav.
India will open the T20I series against New Zealand on January 27 at the JSCA International Stadium complex in Ranchi, followed by matches at the Ekana Sports City and Narendra Modi Stadium in Lucknow on January 29 and February 1. in Ahmedabad.
