Sujitha, along with Jai Akash, will be seen in Gitanjali, a remake of Sewanti
Pandian Stores Dhanam or Dhanalakshmi will be seen in a new serial on Gemini TV titled Geetanjali. Sujitha Dhanush, who is also known for her work in Vadinamma, will play the role of Dhanam. Sujitha started her career as a child artist and acted in various films and serials.
A post was also shared on Instagram announcing that Sujitha has signed a new role for a new serial on a different channel. She played the role of Dhanam, a mother and eldest daughter-in-law of the Pandian Stores family. The plot of the serial revolves around four siblings – Moorthy, Jeeva, Kathir and Kannan and how Dhanalakshmi wants to keep all of them happy. The show airs on Star Vijay. However, his new show ‘Geetanjali’ will air on Gemini TV. This serial is a remake of Sewanti which aired on Sun TV.
A poster was also shared on Instagram announcing the same. The caption read, “Geetanjali Mein Pandian Store Dhanam coming soon on Gemini TV! Seventy Remake!

Now according to The Times Of India, Anandam fame Jay Sathish, aka, Jay Akash will soon make his Telugu TV debut in Geethanjali. The 42-year-old has appeared in several Telugu and Tamil films. He is a Tamil of Sri Lankan origin. In 1999, Jai Akash played the lead role in K. Balachander’s production Rojavanam. He later rose to fame in 2001 based on his performance in Anandam, where he played the male lead and the film became a blockbuster hit. Jai Akash has appeared in several Telugu films and has also directed a few Tamil and Telugu films.
As he is gearing up to team up with Sujitha Dhanush in Gitanjali, it is believed to be his comeback to the Telugu entertainment world after his notable work in Namo Venkatesh in 2010.
