Hailing from the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20-year-old Ihsanullah has taken the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 by storm.

Ihsanullah shot to fame when he dismissed former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed on a ball bowled at 150.4 km/h. He claimed five wickets for just 12 runs in his spell in the match against Quetta Gladiators.

In the days since then, he has added a total of 12 wickets to his tally in the ongoing PSL 2023 season, helping the Sultans sit on top after five matches.

Ihsanullah, who was noticed by former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, was included in Pakistan’s Test squad against New Zealand after impressing Razzaq, a member of the interim selection committee.

He has sent a warning to Umran Malik as he is expected to bowl in excess of 160 kmph.
