“We can’t reach a conclusion or agreement in the end, but we are talking,” he said.

According to a Dawn report, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government is in talks with some groups of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

During an interview with TRT World, Khan said, “There are various groups that make up the TTP and some of them want to talk to our government for peace. So, we are in talks with them. It is a reconciliation process. “

Asked if the government was asking them to lay down arms, the prime minister replied: “Yes, we forgive them and they become ordinary citizens.”

Asked why the TTP was carrying out attacks on Pakistani security forces during talks with the government, Khan said it was just a “series of attacks”.

“We can’t reach a conclusion or agreement in the end, but we are talking,” he said.

Responding to another question whether the Afghan Taliban were acting as a mediator between the TTP and Pakistan, Khan said: “Since the talks were taking place in Afghanistan, in that sense, yes,” the report said. .
