wave of terrorism in pakistan

Pakistan has been battling a wave of terror attacks in the recent past and political uncertainty has made matters worse in the country. There have been several terror attacks in regions such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) called off a ceasefire with the government in November last year.

According to a report, January 2023 proved to be the deadliest month since 2018, with 134 people killed in at least 44 terror attacks across the country.

Terrorists are targeting security forces across the country, Dawn reported, while the country’s military announced a fresh offensive against banned militant groups.
