LUCKNOW: More than 10 crore adults in Uttar Pradesh are now fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Data from the Cowin The portal released on Friday showed that 10.04 crore people in the state have taken both the doses of the vaccine. This is nearly 69% of the total estimated eligible population of 14.74 crore.
Health officials said the total number of doses administered in the state reached 25.66 crore, including 89.03 lakh adolescents and 11.49 lakh precaution doses.
Addressing reporters, additional chief secretary, health and family welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad said 13.84 lakh doses were administered on Friday.
He urged people due for their vaccine dose to get themselves vaccinated in individual and social interest. Prasad reiterated the importance of adhering to Covid protocols to keep the vulnerable population safe from trouble.
