One Plus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro start receiving stable Oxygen OS 12 update

New Delhi: The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are tipped to receive the Oxygen OS 12 update based on Android 12. According to reports, the stable update was successfully pulled off on the US unlocked version of the OnePlus 9 Pro and could be installed without any hassle. Most regions around the world including India can download it.

The update brings new changes, which have been Oppo-fied recently. Despite the recent merger of Oppo’s Color OS team with OnePlus, the UI keeps Oxygen OS. The new update will introduce some new design elements, textures and animations. According to OnePlus, it is “a design inspired by brand new materials and cohesive lights and layers.”

More off the shelf card styles are available with three new cards: the Earphone Control Card, the OnePlus Scout (Universal Search), and the OnePlus Watch Card for tracking fitness stats.

The update introduces a feature to maintain work-life balance. Using the quick setting, one can switch between work and life modes. Specific notification settings can be used to customize each mode, which can be triggered by location, Wi-Fi network, or time.

Pinch-to-zoom feature is also available, allowing users to scroll through thumbnails in the gallery. The Canvas Always On-Display has been updated with new styles and colours. One can take fine control of the color and appearance.

However, some have reported signal loss problem after the update. Surprisingly, OnePlus has not officially posted about the update on its OnePlus forum.
