‘One More Photo’: Usman Khawaja Shares Clip of David Warner Being Surrounded by Fans in India

The Australian men’s team is in India for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, during which they will take part in a four-match Test series.

Australian batsman Usman Khawaja is all set to take part in his first Test match on Indian soil. Khawaja along with his fellow batsmen prepared himself for the spin attack during a short camp in Bengaluru.

Although there was a surprise element for the southpaw ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was stunned after experiencing the incredible fanfare of his opening partner David Warner in India.

Khawaja also shared a video, in which Warner can be seen surrounded by fans in the city. People queue up to take selfies with Australia’s star opener at the airport.

The veteran opening batsman, who has been a regular feature of the IPL, happily expressed his gratitude by posing for the photo.

Khawaja, who was enjoying the view from the side, can be heard in the video requesting Warner to pose for “one more” photo.

“When in India. Just go with (laughing emoji). Another photo,” Khwaja had captioned the post.

The post soon went viral as cricket fans hilariously reacted to the video in the comments.

“Someone save this,” wrote an Instagram user.

Another social media user pointed out Warner’s incredible fanfare and commented, “Super popular in South India.”

This fan jokingly wrote, ‘Meanwhile Australia’s Test Batsman of the Year was completely ignored.’

Khawaja, who scored over 1,000 runs, was named Australia’s Men’s Test Player of the Year a few days back.

An Instagram user praised Warner’s humility. “That’s so humble, wonderful gesture Warner Bros,” read the comment.

Another called him “the most loved Australian in India”.

Coming back to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Khawaja recently spoke about the threat of spin in that team India is near.

The 36-year-old also talked about facing Ravichandran Ashwin in the four-match Test series.

“Ashwin is a gun. He’s very skilful, he’s got lots of intriguing short variations, he uses the crease quite well too. If you had asked me the same question when I was younger, I’d probably have answered a lot of things. Can’t answer because I haven’t really learned how to face off-spinners. Sydney Morning Herald,

He had a great performance in Test cricket last year. And for that, he was awarded the Shane Warne Men’s Test Player of the Year award last week. He had a sensational performance during the voting period last year, scoring 1,020 runs at an average of 78.46.

The first Test of the series will start in Vidarbha from February 9. Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
