On TMC’s resolution to abstain from VP polls, Alva says not the ‘time for ego’

New Delhi: Slamming the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress’ resolution to abstain from voting within the upcoming Vice Presidential election 2022, Opposition choose Margaret Alva on Friday (July 22) mentioned this isn’t the time for “’whataboutery’, ego or anger”. Calling West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee an “epitome of braveness”, Alva urged her to again the Opposition. “The TMC’s resolution to abstain from voting within the VP election is disappointing. This is not the time for ‘whataboutery’, ego or anger. That is the time for braveness, management & unity. I consider, @MamataOfficial , who’s the epitome of braveness, will stand with the opposition,” the Opposition VP candidate tweeted. 

The previous Union Minister’s comment comes a day after senior TMC chief Abhishek Banerjee mentioned that the social gathering will abstain from the vice presidential election saying the Opposition candidate was determined with out consulting Mamata Banerjee’s social gathering.

“There isn’t any query of supporting the NDA candidate, particularly Jagdeep Dhankhar.
