On Atal’s death anniversary, President, Prime Minister and Shah pay tribute India News – Times of India

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind And Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the dignitaries who paid tribute to the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee On his third death anniversary on Monday.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit besides two leaders Shah,Defense Minister Rajnath Singh And some Union ministers went to pay homage at Vajpayee’s memorial “Sadaiva Atal”.
The PM tweeted, “We remember his warm personality, we remember his lovely nature, we remember his wit and humour, we remember his contribution to national progress. Atal ji our citizens reside in the heart and mind of Shah said, “Atal ji will always be in our memory and his immense contribution in the development of the country and selfless service to the nation will continue to guide us.”
Birla said national interest was always paramount for Vajpayee and he never allowed narrow partisan politics to come in the way of national issues. “His positive vision of taking the country to a new height through steadfast commitment should be emulated by others. His thoughts and ideals will continue to inspire us forever.”
Rajnath Singh said, “He (Vajpayee) laid the foundation stone for building a New India, on which massive work is being done today. His contribution in building a capable and strong India will always be remembered.” Vajpayee passed away in 2018 after a prolonged illness.
