Kharagpur. A two-day cricket tournament of tennis ball Kharagpur Champion Trophy 2021 was organized in the ground near Arya Vidyapeeth Bangla Vidyalaya in association with Manish Chandra Jha, factory co-secretary of South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh and Arrabati Sports Association. The best eight teams of Kharagpur participated in this tournament. The final match was played between Om Uzza Automobiles and Dawn cricket team. The winner of the final was Om Uzza Automobile Cricket and Amar was declared man of the match.
Manish Chandra Jha, Venkatesh, Uttam Singh, S Venkat Rao etc. contributed as umpires. Arun, Shakti played a good role as cricket commentator. South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh, Basic Tutorial Centre, Manisha Food Studio, Boom Boom Sports and other sponsors played an important role in the successful organization of the tournament. On this occasion, South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh president Prahlad Singh, co-ordinator T Harihar Rao, Kharagpur unit factory secretary P.K. Kundu, factory co-secretary Manish Chandra Jha, BJP Central Board’s Sarvesarva Srirao, Uma, Raghu, Basic Tutorial Center’s Sarvesarva Manisha Jha, and Balbant Singh, Jalaj Kumar Gupta were present.
Manisha Jha in her statement congratulated both the teams and stressed on adopting sports as education. All other guests congratulated the winning team and thanked the organisers. Prahlad Singh, in his statement, praised the South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Union and said that this trade union contributes to the organization of sports and events apart from solving the problems of the railway employees.
Mahesh Sharma, Manish Jha, Suman Pariah alias Tumpa, Titu, Chhotu, Arindam, etc. also gave their important support in the successful organization of the cricket tournament. Talking to the media, Suman Pariah expressed gratitude to South Eastern Railway Mazdoor Sangh and Manisha Food Studio and Manish Chandra Jha. Specially thanking Manish Chand Jha for successfully organizing this tournament and said that Manish ji is our source of inspiration and his support is our source of inspiration.
