Video from 2018 hits the internet again after the release of KGF: Chapter 2
Kannada actor Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 has received a huge public response and has already become a blockbuster with a collection of over Rs 100 crore on the first day of release. Director Prashanth Neel and the entire star cast of the film are being applauded for his effort to deliver this cult hit. KGF: Chapter 1 was released outside the Kannada market in 2018 to low expectations as the KGF universe was exotic and Yash was not yet a pan-India star. However, the film gained momentum due to positive publicity and eventually became a huge success. It has become a landmark film in the Kannada film industry in recent years.
One of the most talked about aspects of the film was the long beard of the protagonist Rocky, played by Yash. Yash was seen in a never-before-seen look in the action drama and his new look became a favorite amongst the youth. Yash, who used to sport stubble occasionally in his earlier films, grew a very thick beard for the role. Ever since the film went on floors, the actor has transformed it into his signature style.
Since he also appears in a similar look in the second film, many would think that he maintained the same bearded look for almost five years between the two films. However, this is not the case. In 2018, when Yash and his wife Radhika Pandit were expecting their first child Ayra, the actor opted to cut his long hair and shave his beard.
Now an old video is going viral on social media in which Yash is seen in his new look after completing the shooting of KGF: Chapter 1.

The throwback video is once again in the news after the release of KGF: Chapter 2. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle in 2018, Yash had said that KGF Chapter 1 had a beard since its inception. “I have always loved having a beard but it was never that long. As an actor, I always give my best if the need arises. In fact, I’m afraid people have forgotten what I look like without my beard,” he said in the interview.
