An official letter released on Friday said it could be a dedicated working day to discuss issues related to the protection of children’s rights with clear accountability and a follow-up plan.
This special day idea will help in ensuring regularization and making these committees functional, enhance coordination between officers and committees, give priority to children’s issues and create a protective environment for children.
Apart from this, the provision of special day will save the time of the responsible officers and other issues will be resolved.
There are many schemes and acts related to child welfare and their meetings will be held on these dedicated days in every quarter.
So far, 3,007 villages in the state have been declared child marriage free.
District, block and panchayat level task forces on adolescent empowerment and ending child marriage have been constituted and are present in all 30 districts across the state as an effort to strengthen the system.
