The Lok Sabha MP also accused his wife of running fake accounts and fan pages to spread hatred against him.

Odia actor and Lok Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty and his wife Varsha Priyadarshini are in the final stages of their divorce. Anubhav had filed a petition for divorce in the court of the Additional District Judicial Magistrate (ADJM), Cuttack.

The court has ordered Varsha Priyadarshini to vacate the ancestral house of Anubhav Mohanty within two months. Apart from this, Anubhav Mohanty has been directed to pay Rs 30,000 as maintenance per month to Varsha. In another petition, Anubhav had also sought disclosure of the source of Varsha’s income. The court had reserved its decision after hearing last week.

A few days before the verdict, Anubhav posted a video on social media saying that though they got married in 2014, there was no physical intimacy between them. In the video, Anubhav said, ‘I had given only one reason for separating from my wife in the petition. This happened because of non-marriage. She has not allowed me the marital rights of a husband till date. He has always opposed the idea. Now it is for you to decide for how long and why the husband will tolerate it.”

Anubhav also recently accused his wife of running fake accounts and fan pages to spread hatred against him and urged fans not to fall for it through his social media profile.

Anubhav Mohanty, a famous Odia film actor, started his political career in 2013 with the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), the ruling party of Odisha. His marriage to Varsha started falling apart within just two years when he filed the first petition against his wife in 2016. He alleged that there was no physical intimacy between them even after two years of marriage.
