Odanadi Seeks Police Protection | Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysuru: Odanadi Seva Samsthe, an NGO working for the welfare of women and children, has sought police protection for the institute and to the houses of its directors.
ML Parshuram, a director of Odanadi, told STOI that as the institute facilitated the filing of a police complaint against Chitradurga’s Murugha Mutt pontiff Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru accusing the seer of abusing minor girls, the directors have been receiving threat calls from unknown persons. “As a precaution, we have sent letters to both city and Mysuru district police,” he said.
The institute and the house of another director Stanley Vergese is within the city police jurisdiction while Parashuram’s house is in the district police limits. “We have sent a request to the city police in this regard through our representatives and would be requesting the district police too,” Parshuram claimed.
DCP (law and order), Mysuru city, Pradeep Gunti said he hasn’t received any request from Odanadi on this matter while police commissioner Chandragupta didn’t respond.
