RedMagic Pro series gets new Snapdragon chipset
Nubia is using the new flagship chipset and offering fast charging technology for its premium variant of the Redmagic 8 Pro series.
Nubia continues to focus on the gaming segment with its new Redmi 8 Pro series, this time with Pro and Pro+ variants. These devices offer charging speeds of up to 165W, are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and get up to 1TB of storage inbuilt. The company seems to have worked on the design of the phones which gives them a new appeal.

The RedMagic 8 Pro series has two models including the RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+ with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 48,000) and CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 62,000) respectively. You have these phones available with up to 8GB, 12GB and 16GB of RAM while the storage variant goes up to 1TB which is offered in the special transparent variant.
Features of Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro Series
The RedMagic 8 Pro features a 6.8-inch OLED 120Hz display with 960Hz touch sampling rate and 1300 nits peak brightness. Being a gaming phone means that you have a 10-layer cooling system made of different materials. Nubia has also developed its own GPU optimizer for better frame rate performance.
The series is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, making it the first gaming phone in the market to get the new SoC from Qualcomm. Nubia gives you Android 13-based RedMagic OS out-of-the-box, but the cameras don’t see much change from its predecessor. That being said, the battery and charging technology of the 8 Pro+ are different, as you get the same 5000mAh battery unit, but with 165W charging support.
While the 8 Pro gets a bigger 6,000mAh battery which charges at a speed of 80W. It is also good to see that Nubia has retained the headphone jack on both the phones and offers a triple-mic setup which is ideal for gamers.
