Nothing Phone (2) To Be Powered By Snapdragon 8 Series Chipset: Carl Pei

New Delhi: Carl Pei, founder of consumer electronics brand Nothings, on Thursday said that the Phone (2) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 series chipset, which is a clear upgrade over the Phone (1).

In a tweet, Pei said that preliminary testing shows that app opening speeds on the Phone (2) are up to twice as fast as on the Phone (1), “with an impressive 80 percent improvement in overall performance”.

He posted, “There’s been a lot of buzz ever since we announced that the phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. Here’s some news – it’s going to be the premium-tier powerhouse Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 ”

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 features an 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP) capable of capturing up to 4,000 times more camera data than the ISP used on phones (1).

“As a result, the phone’s (2) camera offers advanced features such as RAW HDR and 4K recording at 60 fps,” informed Pei.

No one is preparing to launch their phone(2) anytime soon.

“We chose the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for a reason. Built on TSMC’s 4nm process, it’s the best in terms of power consumption and heat management,” Pei said.

He added that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has been thoroughly tested and continuously optimized through multiple updates.

The company’s first product Year (1) received a good response. Following its success, the company’s smartphone product phone (1) was launched in July 2022.
