Sule said allowing Fadnavis to speak was his personal matter, but being the deputy CM, Ajit Pawar should have been allowed to speak at the Dehu program.

NCP MP Supriya Sule said on Tuesday that the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra was not allowed to speak in the presence of the PM. Narendra Modi at a temple inauguration ceremony in Dehu, Pune, and termed it as an insult to the state. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, spoke at the event, but Ajit Pawar was not allowed to speak, he said.

Ajit Pawar’s office (PMO) had requested that he be allowed to speak at the event as he is the deputy CM and also the guardian minister of the district. The PMO did not approve it, he told reporters in Amaravati. It is very serious, painful, shocking and not justified. The Lok Sabha member said that this is an insult to Maharashtra.

Sule said allowing Fadnavis to speak was his personal matter, but being the deputy CM, Ajit Pawar should have been allowed to speak at the Dehu program.
