Hubballi: After a gap of three months, the North-West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTChandjob sure Division) resumed its bus service to Goa on Friday.
NWKRTC has taken necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the passengers traveling to Goa as per the COVID protocol.
h Ramgoudar, the divisional controller told TOI that as per the Goa government notification, passengers traveling to Goa should carry a COVID negative report given by the health department 72 hours before their journey.
“Many people from Hubli-Dharwad and adjoining districts go to Goa for work. But most of them have trouble getting the test done. It is difficult for many poor families to pay Rs 270 for a Covid test. If a passenger tests positive for Covid, they will be denied entry to Goa,” he said.
“Keeping in mind the financial problems of many poor people traveling to Goa, we will conduct a free COVID test for all such passengers. gokuli Bus terminal here,” he said.
