Noida: A 32-year-old woman has alleged that the Noida Police is not ready to register a case despite her brother-in-law repeatedly complaining about sexual harassment. FIR If.
The victim, who was allegedly assaulted by her brother-in-law at a boutique running in Sector 110 area, has alleged that she was pushed to the ground and assaulted by the accused following which she informed Dial 112.

The woman told TOI that her husband has a courier office in Sector 110 and she also runs a boutique in the same premises.
She alleged that around 9 pm on August 30 when she was in the office, she allegedly called her brother-in-law Paritosh Mishra for help in shifting a rack in the boutique, which was stuck due to a heavy machine.
“I had called my brother-in-law for help and he had come to help me. He suddenly started touching me inappropriately while removing the rack. Then he suddenly fell on the ground and started biting my lips and taking off my clothes.”
The woman said that she ran to save herself and immediately called the police.
He said that he also informed his brother who had come to his aid.
“The Dial 112 team reached and saw my condition. My lips were swollen and I had a scar on my chest,” she said.
A police officer from the Dial 112 team that reached the spot told TOI that the woman had a mark on her neck and swollen lips.
“As per the crime scene and situation, the woman alleged that the accused assaulted her, which was not found on the spot. There were fingerprints around his neck. Her husband was present at the spot and later he took her aside and they talked amongst themselves. The woman was asked if she wanted any action against the accused and she said that she wanted action. The matter was then referred to the Phase II police station,” the officer told TOI on condition of anonymity.
However, the woman alleged that when she was sent to Sector 110 police post, the reaction of the police officials was discouraging and they delayed her medical examination.
“A police officer present at the outpost told the clerk that my complaint should not be taken as I was having a dispute with my husband. My medical was done around 12:30 in the night and it confirmed my injuries,” she said.
The woman’s medical report in possession of TOI states that she has “abrasions on the front of the chest, below the neck” and “abrasions on the lower lip”.
The woman alleged that despite repeated visits to the Phase II police station and the office of the women’s cell at least four times, an FIR has not yet been registered in the case.
She alleged that the police did not call her brother-in-law for questioning even once and shared a report on social media saying that her “medical report does not confirm the attack.”
In response to a media person on her tweet on the matter, Noida Police has said that the complaint was investigated by the Women’s Cell and her medical was done.
“The allegations made by the complainant have been found to be false. The investigation revealed that the complainant and her husband were having a dispute for the last two years and were living separately. Her husband has asked her to vacate his office and she has been accused of creating unnecessary pressure.”

The complainant, however, lamented that her complaint is still not registered and alleged that her husband was pressurizing her to withdraw her complaint.
