Noida: Police arrested 14 Chinese nationals working in private company

Fourteen Chinese nationals, including a woman, were detained here on Wednesday for allegedly staying illegally in the country since 2020, police officials said here. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Rajesh S said they all worked for a private company in Noida’s Phase II and had valid passports, but their business visa had expired.

“14 Chinese nationals were detained by the Sector 49 police station team. The local intelligence unit had information that their visas had expired in 2020, but they stayed longer,” the official said.

The DCP said that these detained people are not related to a recent case in Greater Noida, where another Chinese national was living illegally in India since 2020.
