Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan asked the health department officials to increase the number of treatments under Aarogyasri and make them available from August 1 and to implement the family doctor concept in a phased manner from August 15.

While holding a review meeting with the Health Department officials, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to equip rural clinics and PHCs with digital video connectivity, besides providing virtual bank accounts to Aarogyasri beneficiaries for depositing funds directly into the patient’s account, which will be directed. in hospital account

He said that the hospitals will have to take a consent form before admitting the patient and at the time of discharging the patient will have to fill in the details of treatment, government assistance and health care in a declaration form. He also ordered officials to attach toll-free numbers 14400 or 104 in the manifesto to make complaints regarding extra charges or bribery.

The CM directed the officials to send health workers to inquire about the health status of the discharged person and give feedback on the services provided to the patient.

He also ordered the officers to focus on preventing incidents of bribery in services 108 and 104 and asked them to display ACB toll-free numbers on vehicles.

Reviewing the COVID situation in the state, the Chief Minister asked for expediting the vaccination process, especially for those above 60 years of age, as the duration of the precautionary dose was reduced. In this regard, the officials told him that the situation of Kovid is completely under control, where only a few cases are being registered.

Officials said that only 69 people are admitted in hospitals and all are recovering. With regard to vaccination, he said that 87.15 per cent people were given the precautionary dose, 99.69 per cent people aged 15 to 17 years were given two doses and 98.93 per cent people in the age group of 12 to 14 years have completed the second dose. diet.

Further, reviewing the recruitment of staff in the health sector, Chief Minister Jagan Reddy directed the officials to complete the recruitment process by the end of July and ensure adequate number of doctors and staff from primary health centers to teaching.
