These are said to come with mini-LED displays and flattened top and bottom edges. Previous rumors have suggested that the new MacBook Air will also feature faster M-series Apple silicon chips (likely the Apple M2) and a MagSafe-compatible magnetic charger. It is unclear whether the existing M1-powered MacBook Air will be discontinued after the launch of the new MacBook Air. Kuo says this could affect pricing, meaning that if Apple discontinues the M1-powered Apple MacBook Air, the new one could cost $999.
