Netflix cancels ‘Hit and Run’ after just one season

After just one season, Netflix has canceled “Hit and Run,” the series starring Lior Raz seeking revenge after his wife is killed in a mysterious accident.

The thriller was reviewed well by critics, and fans are bound to be disappointed after the first season ended on a cliffhanger.

The nine-episode series premiered on global streaming platforms in August and was filmed in Tel Aviv and New York, with most of its dialogue in Hebrew-accented English.

Raaz plays the show’s grieving husband, a tour guide who must return to his experiences as a former Special Forces soldier to solve the mystery of his wife’s death.

Writing the show was also an entirely different experience for Ischaroff and Reese, who executive produced “Hit and Run” with their American partners, Don Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin, as the sequel to the Amazon comedy “Z: The Beginning of Everything”. was a producer.

Ischaroff said that he and Raz initially got the idea for the show about six years ago. When he pitched the idea to Netflix, the platform that turned “Fauda” into an international hit, the streaming company immediately wanted to develop the idea and connected them to Prestwich and Yorkin.
