In Himachal Pradesh, due to the rain from the last days, life is disturbed and the process of falling debris from the hills is also continuing. In the latest case, due to landslide near 7 Mill on Chandigarh-Manali National Highway-21, the highway has been closed and the movement of vehicles has come to a complete halt. It may take around 3 to 4 hours to open the route.

At the same time, the district administration has urged the passengers not to travel on the highway till further notice. The matter has been confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner Mandi Arindam Choudhary. On the other hand, SP Mandi Shalini Agnihotri said that police personnel have been deployed on the spot and work is being done to open the highway.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the incident of cloudburst came to light in Kullu, Sirmaur districts. Due to which the apple orchards including the people’s land and crops were damaged here. A heavy rain alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center Shimla. There is a rain alert in many districts till September 21. A warning has been issued for heavy rains in Mandi, Kangra, Solan, Sirmaur.

In Manali’s Barua, there was damage at many places due to heavy rains at night. The Burua village of the tourist city of Manali was flooded at midnight. There was chaos in the village due to the flood. Flood water and debris entered the residential area in the village. The swamps came to the homes and gardens of the local people. However, there was no loss of life during this period. Villagers of Ward 6 and 4 of Burua Panchayat have suffered more. The drain adjoining Ward-6 has caused heavy damage to the village at 12 midnight.

Village Panchayat head Chudamani Thakur told that the villagers were sleeping when the flood water came due to cloudburst in the middle of the night. The villagers woke up immediately after hearing the sound of flood water. The people of Ward 4 and 6 have suffered more. The information about the cloudburst case has been conveyed to the administration. Manali Tehsildar NS Verma told that he is visiting the spot. The damage caused by flood waters entering people’s homes and gardens is being assessed.

In Sirmaur district also, the rain has created a huge orgy. There is a cloudburst in Chamayar village as well. According to the information released by the State Disaster Management Authority, this village comes under Nahan tehsil. Most of the land and crops of the villagers have been destroyed here. No human casualties have been reported. The district administration has also started assessing the damage here.
