Need to instill pride among young Hindus about religion and tradition: RSS chief

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that there is a need to instill pride among young Hindu boys and girls about their identity. He further said that conversion of young Hindus is wrong and as a community, it becomes imperative for us to make them aware of their religion and traditions.

As reported by ANI, the RSS chief was addressing RSS workers and their families at an event in Haldwani, Uttarakhand on Sunday.

“How does conversion happen? How do Hindu girls and boys adopt other religions for small selfishness, for marriage? Those who are doing this are wrong but that’s another thing. Don’t we bring up our children? ? We need to give these values to them. At our house. We need to instill in them respect for ourselves, our religion and our tradition of worship,” Bhagwat was quoted in his report by ANI.

He Requested people not to get confused and answer questions regarding this issue. “If questions come up, answer them. Don’t get confused. We must prepare our children and for that we need to learn,” he says.

Stressing on the need to preserve traditional family values, the RSS chief urged people to visit Indian tourist places, consume home-cooked food and wear traditional attire.

He further urged people not to differentiate on the basis of caste and strongly condemned untouchability as a practice. “Society has a habit of guessing religion from names,” he says. Discrimination of people should be completely removed from the heart.
