Naval Dockyard has recently released a notification for recruitment for the post of apprentice. This hiring procedure will fill 301 positions in total. Candidates who have completed their 10th board exam, with additional eligibility as mentioned in the notification, can apply for these posts before April 5, 2024. Educational Details: 

A person must have completed ITI in the appropriate trade in order to be eligible for an apprenticeship. One must have passed the eighth grade to be considered for the role of Rigger in a non-ITI apprenticeship. 

For the Forger Heat Treater, one should have a 10th pass. 

Age Limit:

Candidates should have completed 14 years and below 21 years of age, that is born between November 21, 2002, and November 21, 2009.

Minimum Physical Standards: 

1. Height: 150 cm

2. Weight: not less than 45 kg

3. Chest: expansion not less than 5 cm

4. Eye sight: 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external and internal organs to be normal.

The Indian Navy posted openings for apprenticeship positions in the navy dockyard in Visakhapatnam last year. There were openings for 275 jobs in the dockyard, according to the announcement made by the Indian Navy. The posts included Fitter, mechanic, electrician, painter, machinist, and mechanic machine tool maintenance. The hiring procedure for these posts was done through written exams. Candidates were selected for the written examination based on marks obtained in high school and at the ITI (Industrial Training Institute).
