Nangarhar: Around 100 IS terrorists surrender in Nangarhar, Afghanistan – Times of India

Kabul: About 100 terrorists affiliated with Islamic State (IS) surrender in Afghanistan Nangarhar On Tuesday, Chinese media reported the news quoting the confirmation of the local official.
“About 100 Daesh or IS militants surrendered to Nangarhar General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) officials in the provincial capital Jalalabad city on Tuesday morning,” Xinhua news agency reported. Mohamed Bashiro, Director of Nangarhar GDI Office said.

The official said the surrender of the former rebels would further strengthen peace and stability in the mountainous province.
Surrendered terrorists asked fellow IS members to lay down their arms. The IS group, which has carried out several attacks in Nangarhar in recent months, has yet to comment on the report, Xinhua news agency reported.
