Thorat said that the seats which the Congress had not contested earlier but where it had a very good base should be given to the party as part of the seat-sharing deal in the MVA.

Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat on Saturday said the Maha Vikas Aghadi, comprising his party, the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party, can win up to 40 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra if they contest the 2024 polls unitedly. Let’s fight by being.

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said workers want the party to contest maximum seats.

Thorat said that the seats which the Congress had not contested earlier but where it had a very good base should be given to the party as part of the seat-sharing deal in the MVA.

He said that during the discussion, the party officials have asked the state leadership to stake claim on these seats.

Congress Legislature Party leader Thorat said that due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi, the people of the country are aware of the problems they are facing.

Meanwhile, Patole said the party’s two-day review meeting focused on assessing its organizational strength and ensuring the workers work towards securing maximum victory for the MVA.

“The seat-sharing formula has not been finalized yet. Our workers say that Congress should contest on maximum number of seats. We are a national party,” Patole said.

The countdown to the Modi government has begun. We will work unitedly to defeat the Modi government and save the country. There is a lot of resentment against the Center and the Eknath Shinde government.”
